- The issue of compensation for the material losses suffered by the Armenian people during the First World War
In 1919, according to the calculations of the Special Committee acting as part of the Special Commission of the Paris Peace Conference, the material losses of the Armenian people during the First World War amounted to more than 19 billion (19,130,982,000) French francs, which today amounts to 286,964,730,000 euros or more than 312,791,555,700 billion US dollars.
Until today, the Republic of Turkey has not compensated the Armenians for that amount.
- Security issues of the republics of the South Caucasus – Armenia and Georgia
In the face of the far-reaching and extremely dangerous modern programs of Pan-Turkism promoted by Turkey and Azerbaijan, the two republics of the South Caucasus, Armenia and Georgia, two ancient Christian nations and states, two ancient civilizations, seem defenseless. This situation is becoming more complicated and aggravated by the issue of the political orientation of these republics. This is an issue on which the United States, the European Union, and Russia have different opinions.
The security issues of the republics of the South Caucasus, Armenia and Georgia, can be settled if the superpowers accept, recognize and guarantee the decision taken by Armenia and Georgia on permanent armed neutrality.
Here it is appropriate to remember that the Republic of Azerbaijan has been a member of the ”Non-Aligned Movement” since 2011, but this did not prevent it from actively promoting Turanian projects such as, for example, issues of linguistic and cultural unity of the Turkic-speaking peoples, and even more joining the Council of Turkic States, participating in creation of a unified Turanian army, as well as signing an agreement on strategic cooperation with the Russian Federation in February 2024, which completely does not fit into the logic of the Non-Aligned Movement.
- The question of another platform for dialogue between the USA, the European Union, and Russia
One of the platforms for dialogue between the USA, the European Union and Russia can be formed in the South Caucasus, when these powers recognize, accept and guarantee the adoption by Armenia and Georgia of a decision on permanent armed neutrality and on this basis form not only an island of peace but also another stable platform for dialogue in the South Caucasus.
- The issues of the Decree adopted by the Russian government, the Mandate of Armenia granted by the USA, and the Mandate of Cilicia granted by France
On the eve of the formation of a new world order, it seems that it is the right time for Russia, the USA and France to recall the decisions they have taken as well as the powers and mandates that they were given with regard to Western Armenia, the State of Armenia and Cilicia. The European Parliament is also obliged to revise the 1987 the resolution “On the political solution of the Armenian Question” adopted on June 18.
- The issue of condamning Pan-Turkism
The theory of Pan-Turkism is a very dangerous, aggressive and nationalist theory, that poses a great threat to all the peoples and states of the Middle East, the Caucasus and Central Asia including Turkic-speaking peoples and states.
Pan-Turkism cannot be controlled, it is an uncontrollable theory. Pan-Turkism is capable of turning into chaos any region and state including all the above-mentioned regions. In this sense, it is more correct to prevent the threat than to make superhuman efforts to neutralize it later.
The theory of pan-Turkism, as a dangerous, aggressive and nationalist theory, should be condemned and banned, like fascism.
- The question of establishing lasting peace in the Greater Middle East
The only way to establish lasting peace in the Greater Middle East is to implement and realize the rights of Armenians and Kurds according to the decisions of the Paris Peace Conference. The political decisions taken so far to establish peace in the region have not been effective. In fact, it is necessary to implement the already taken decisions, and in some cases, to adopt new qualitative legal and political decisions.
In the current military-political situation, it seems appropriate to recall the part of General Harbort’s report, where he mentions the importance of accepting the mandate of Armenia offered by the USA. He concludes: “It is better to spend millions on care than billions on future wars.” Care is a mandate.
It is also extremely relevant to consider the “Balfour Declaration” adopted by Great Britain and the World Zionist Organization on November 2, 1917, and signed by Prime Minister Lloyd George and Theodore Herzl. This is a document according to which they considered and analyzed the Armenian Question in detail, but decided to create a Jewish state, ignoring the issue of creating an Armenian state.
By the way, Poghos Nubar Pasha and Avetis Aharonyan were invited to the discussion and signing the “Balfour Declaration”, but they were deceived by saying that they would also consider the Armenian Question.
That’s it… “to this day”.
